I was having a conversation yesterday that brought back to my attention something very important about our thoughts and planning processes.

When We Create A Plan, Any Plan, it’s not until we describe this plan to someone else that we can truly see how “flawed” our plan is as long as we are in “listening” mode.

We Know EXACTLY What We Designed and what we intend it to accomplish. Because of this, we tend to auto fill-in the missing gaps/elements of the plan in our own minds.

In marketing, Eben Pagan taught me that marketing is more about ensuring you cannot be misunderstood than it is about being understood.

Until you find out what others think of your plan and are willing to listen to what they say, you cannot find the missing gaps in your plan as easily.

Planning to Win Formula (in 2 steps) Overview.

It’s mid September and if you have not done so already, it’s the perfect time to start outlining your 2020 “Win Plan.”

This is the perfect opportunity to share this plan early and get input on this “plan” before the year is even here.

You Will Be Ahead of the Game.

1) How To Plan The Win: Take time to outline a plan and share it with others, get feedback, iterate accordingly.

2) How To Win The Plan: PSR – Develop your personal success ritual. Execute on it every morning.

Do Not over-complicate this process. “Genius” is keeping it as simple as possible and acting upon it as fast as possible.

Bonus: “The 12 Week Year” is a very good book for breaking down any plan into manageable bite size pieces that can be executed on in a timely manner, rapidly.
